About the event
Julie is a singer and actress based in the London area. Her singing work is incredibly varied - from musical theatre through to jazz, pop and rock. She also writes music, and collaborated on the score to a rock musical which was performed at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe.
Most recently Julie has been working with Mike Moran across a number of his Film, TV and album projects providing her vocals to his compositions. This collaboration includes Julie and Mike producing an American Songbook Live show, some of which Julie will bring to Pangbourne
Julie has performed in most of the theatres around the UK and in many large festivals around the country and abroad. She has also worked in more intimate settings with smaller groups and duo work. She was the female vocalist in Brendan Cole's "Live and Unjudged" tour.
Julie is certainly a regular favourite with many UK show bands and in great demand - comfortable with a full 18-piece big band as well as the slightly smaller combos.
As an actress, Julie toured the UK with "End of the Rainbow" understudying the role of Judy Garland. She has also performed the role of narrator in the Bill Kenwright production of "Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat"
Hugely talented, Julie is partner with David Young in the international rock band Space Elevator. She is a prolific writer and lyricist and the band have released 3 albums to critical acclaim.
Julie is a wonderfully talented singer and performer and as a hard working professional musician she crosses style and genre effortlessly.
We are really looking forward to her first appearance at Pangbourne Jazz Club.
